Paleontology is our window to the past.
I am a broadly trained paleobiologist interested in the nature of mass extinctions on land, vertebrate ichnology, records of climate change in deep time, and developing innovative earth science pedagogies. Currently, I work at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, where I am pursuing a PhD.

Recent Highlights

Trip to Edinburgh
- I was thrilled to travel to the University of Edinburgh and meet with Steve Brusatte, whose book on dinosaurs got me back into Paleontology the summer before my sophomore year of college. We reminisced about teaching the same classes over the years, and Steve was kind enough to show me some exciting fossils from the Isle of Skye.
NJ Fieldwork 2025
- Out near the Hook Mountain Basalt, the old Vreeland Quarry site preserves a high fidelity record of earliest Jurassic life. Much easier to get to in the winter when the leaves clear out!

SVP 2025: Birmingham, UK
- Another year, another meeting for the Society of Vertebrate Paleontologists. This year’s meeting was nearly twice as big as usual, and I had a great time meeting so many talented paleo-heads.
EESC 3501: Mass Extinctions
- My GSAS Teaching Scholars course is now listed and accepting students!

ECAD 2025: Paradise Found
- After a thrilling weekend meeting other Explorer’s Club members from around the world, I joined fellow grantees for this year’s Annual Gala.
Utah Fieldwork 2025
- Explorer’s Club funded project examining connections between dinosaur footprints and indigenous petroglyphs on the Colorado Plateau.

AGU 2024
- I gave a poster presentation outlining the conceptual framing for a new integrated pedagogical approach to the geosciences
